Details: Simple Fight over Cow Turns Tragic as Man Kills Brother in Baringo
Baringo – Police in Baringo county have launched investigations following the death of a 23-year-old man in Seretunin village.
TV 47 reported that Kevin Kimuge Chesire was killed by his brother, Samuel Chesire, aged 26, following a domestic dispute on Saturday, May 18.
Area chief Lang’ate Koskey said Kevin had a deep cut wound at the back of his head with blood oozing out.
Koskey said he received a distress call from a colleague at 1am, informing him of a fight between two brothers after they disagreed over the sale of their grandmother’s cow.
The chief rushed to the scene, expecting to break up the fight, but instead discovered one adult male from the Tugen community dead in a pool of blood.
Baringo Central OCPD Enrico Telewa Lyomu confirmed the incident, saying police officers from Seretunin Police Station rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect.
The body has been moved to Baringo County Referral Hospital Mortuary, awaiting an autopsy.
Lyomu said they recovered the murder weapon, believed to be a club with bloodstains, from the scene and kept it as evidence.
